Ovidiu came over to take our dearest Stewie to Pug heaven. He was 13 and sadly got brain tumor and the decline was rapid.
Requested an appointment Ovidiu called me (which I loved) and talked so kindly and asked when I would like to have this appointment. We agreed and he came right on time.

He was so gentle and warming I felt even though I never seen him before it give me that feeling that he was the right person to do this. As this was our first dog he asked us if we know anything about this ofc we said no. So he took his time and explained what might happen and so on.

He had everything ready you could see he was taking this seriously and showing respect to us and our dog.

Overall just an amazing person and amazing job.

Ovidiu came to us in an emergency via the kindest goodbye and I have nothing but praise for him.
First time having an at home euthanasia and would Def do it again.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ovidiu at Sundown Vets. We were faced with the hardest decision to make after watching our beautiful Nyla suffering in so much pain. We knew we had to find a way to help her, and thankfully Ovidiu called us back just as we were losing hope on how to get help.

He travelled very late in the evening to be with us, explained every single part of the process, and brought the most calming, caring, and compassionate energy into our home. It was the hardest goodbye, but he made it so beautiful and peaceful for her, right where she belonged with us. He even reminded us to take care of our own mental health and provided support resources if we needed them.

You can truly feel the genuine care and heart he puts into everything he does. Nyla was so deeply loved, and while saying goodbye was heartbreaking, I am so endlessly grateful that we got that callback and the help we needed.

I have no words for the comfort and compassion we were shown when we had to say goodbye to our beautiful girl. We were not rushed, everything was explained step by step and our beautiful girl went to the rainbow bridge in perfect peace, in her own home surrounded by those that loved her, including our other canine. We found ourselves in the sad situation that our much loved blind and deaf dog, Tayzie went downhill in a matter of hours. As a family we decided years ago that we would have home euthanasia at home for her as she was an anxious and very nervous dog that hated the vets.
When the time came we were really anxious but when the vet arrived we were put at ease straight away. If anybody was born for a job it was him, compassionate and caring explaining the procedure he was going to perform and how it would affect our Tayzie.

In such a heartbreaking situation, Ovidiu was utterly professional, warm, gentle understanding, and absolutely just perfect…..couldn’t have asked for more
He gave us time and space without ‘overdoing’ anything and I would recommend The Kindest Goodbye to anyone. Also the staff I dealt with to organise everything were lovely and caring including Sally regards the cremation who was so kind and professional.

Dr.Ovidiu came to our home to euthanaise our very precious and much loved Eurasier; she often felt very anxious in the presence of strangers but Dr. Ovidiu is a very calm, kind and empathetic Vet and our girl seemed to sense this and remained very calm and relaxed.
Sadly we have experienced the process of euthanaising a pet several times and it never gets any easier. Occasionally the process does not go as smoothly as one would wish; with this in mind, we decided  to have a cannula fitted prior to Dr.Ovidiu visit, to minimize any distress to our girl. We were aware she didn't have particularly good veins.
Dr.Ovidiu clearly explained what he was going to do and made sure we were comfortable to proceed. First stage, our girl was sedated. The sedative included some pain relief and she slipped quickly into a deep and peaceful sleep. We never felt rushed or under any pressure at any stage. When we were ready, the second stage went ahead and the final anesthetic was i jected; our beautiful girl passed very peacefully away.
Afterwards, we requested some time alone with her and again Ovidius' empathy and compassion was evident. He kindly left us alone to say our final goodbyes. When we felt ready, our girl was placed with care into a dog bed and carried away. Dr.Ovidiu then transported her to 'The Kindest Goodbye' crematorium.
We felt Dr.Ovidiu went above and beyond to make sure this difficult process went as smoothly as possible for both our dog and ourselves.  He even provided links to sites providing pet bereavement councilling.
We are very grateful for the service he provided.
